Green-circle-plus-icon  Project Overview

As Clemson’s iconic hometown deli, Pot Belly Deli prepared to relocate and reopen in a larger space, the owner needed an extensive renovation of a 70-year-old brick building on a prominent road in town.

P+F Construction was selected as Construction Manager At-Risk, providing preconstruction, design-build MEP and construction services. With architectural and civil design provided by the owner, P+F helped keep the project moving by delivering MEP design through a design-build approach and coordinating with the architect and a local structural engineer.

P+F transformed the existing building into a modern, welcoming restaurant space with expanded indoor seating, outdoor seating and a covered patio.

The renovation required careful coordination through structural challenges, including removing and rebuilding the building’s front façade with metal studs and a new exterior finish. With Pot Belly Deli’s previous location demolished and the owner supporting employees financially until the new space opened, maintaining momentum toward turnover was critical. P+F managed owner-requested scope changes while delivering a refreshed restaurant space on time and ready to serve the Clemson community.
