Green-circle-plus-icon  Project Overview

As ROAR Clemson looked to expand its restaurant and nightlife experience in historic downtown Clemson, the owner needed a rooftop bar and amenity structure that could be delivered on a fast schedule between graduation and the start of the next school year.

P+F Construction was retained as Construction Manager At-Risk, providing preconstruction, design-build MEP and construction services. Working closely with the owner, Project Plus and the City of Clemson, P+F helped define a scope that met stakeholder requirements while coordinating the design-build MEP systems for the rooftop space.

Key Details:
  • Owner: WK Security Company, LLC
  • Architect: Project Plus
  • Project Type: Restaurant + Nightclub Renovation
  • Delivery Method: CM At-Risk
  • P+F Services: Preconstruction + Construction + Design-Build MEP
  • Project Size: 2,500 sq ft

P+F completed the project within the original 107-day schedule, allowing ROAR Clemson to meet its planned opening date before students returned for the next school year.

The project required careful coordination in a tight downtown setting, including three road closures for crane access, complex site logistics and footing adjustments due to existing soil conditions. Throughout construction, P+F managed owner-requested changes while keeping the project on schedule and supporting a successful turnover for the restaurant and nightlife venue.
