Upstate Church and P+F Construction Break Ground on New Five Forks Campus

April 2026

Upstate Church Five Forks — Opening Spring 2027

P+F Construction is proud to partner with Upstate Church on the construction of its new Five Forks campus, a project that reflects the kind of work our team is honored to be part of — building spaces that bring people together, support community growth and serve a purpose beyond the building itself.

The project was officially celebrated during a groundbreaking ceremony on February 22, bringing together church leadership, project partners and members of the Upstate Church community to mark the beginning of construction on the new campus.

Upstate Church, P+F Construction and project partners celebrated the start of construction for the new Five Forks campus during a groundbreaking ceremony on February 22.

Located at the intersection of Batesville and Roper Mountain roads in Simpsonville, the new campus will include a 28,000-square-foot facility situated on a 12.6-acre site with protected wetlands. Thoughtfully designed to integrate with the property’s natural landscape, the new campus will provide a welcoming and functional space for worship, connection, ministry and future growth.

P+F is serving as Construction Manager At-Risk for the project, working alongside architect LS3P.

“This new campus represents an exciting next step for our church as we continue to serve the Upstate and make room for one more,” said Wayne Bray, Lead Pastor of Upstate Church. “We want to create a space where people feel welcomed, can grow in their faith, and build authentic community. This property gives us a unique opportunity to fulfill this mission in a strategic location that will serve as a launching pad for future missional expansion.”

The new location will allow Upstate Church’s existing Five Forks congregation to relocate to a larger campus within the Upstate region. The Five Forks campus is one of 10 Upstate Church locations, reflecting the church’s continued growth and commitment to reaching more communities across the area.

The 28,000-square-foot facility is thoughtfully designed to integrate with the property’s natural landscape and support future growth.

BUILT FOR WORSHIP, CONNECTION AND GROWTH

The new facility will include:

  • A 550-seat worship center
  • Dedicated worship and gathering spaces for students and children
  • Meeting and breakout rooms
  • Advanced AVL capabilities
  • Steel-frame construction
  • Future expansion pad for continued growth

“We’re honored to partner with Upstate Church on such a meaningful project,” said Steve Foushee, Principal of P+F Construction. “Opportunities like this reflect what matters most to our team — using our work to support something bigger than ourselves. It’s a privilege to help create a place that will further the church’s mission while also serving the surrounding community. As locals, that impact is something we care deeply about.”

Construction is underway at the future Upstate Church Five Forks campus, located at the intersection of Batesville and Roper Mountain roads in Simpsonville.

At P+F, People First applies to every project, every day. For our team, that means understanding the people a space will serve, the purpose it will support and the long-term impact it can have on the community around it.

As construction begins at Upstate Church Five Forks, P+F is honored to help bring this vision to life and support a project designed to serve the church and surrounding community for years to come.
